Materials:
1 pie pan
1 oven
1 paring knife
1 Cuisinart
1 mixing bowl
Measuring spoons
1 roll of aluminum foil
Ingredients:
1 pie crust
6 medium Apples (6 cups)
Ground nutmeg
3/4 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Sugar
Lemon juice
2 tablespoons all-purpose Flour
Instructions:
- Place crust in pie pan
- Blind bake pie crust @ 370*F, 10mins
- Core, peel apples, slice thinly
- In a separate bowl, mix:
- 3/4 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Fill pie crust with filling
- Top with second crust or crumble
- Brush butter on second crust
- Sprinkle sugar on second crust
- Cut large hole in aluminum foil and cover the edges while centering the hole over the pie.
- Bake @ 375*F, 45mins
- Remove the aluminum foil
- Bake @ 375*F, 15mins
