Materials:
1 paring knife
1 mixing bowl
1 oven
6 ceramic cups
1 baking sheet
Ingredients:
Filling:
10 apples (2lbs)
Ice cream
Whipped cream
Topping:
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of kosher salt
8 tablespoons (1 stick or 1/4lb or 4oz) salted butter, melted
Instructions:
- Core 10 apples, slice thinly
- In a mixing bowl, mix:
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (sub pecans)
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- Pinch of kosher salt
- 8 tablespoons (1 stick) salted butter, melted
- Fill 6 ceramic cups with apple slices
- Cover apples with crumble topping
- Preheat oven to 375*F
- Place ceramic cups on baking sheet
- Bake in oven for 45mins
- Let stand 10-15mins
- Serve with ice cream and/or whipped cream
