Materials:

1 paring knife

1 mixing bowl

1 oven

6 ceramic cups

1 baking sheet

 

Ingredients:

Filling:

10 apples (2lbs)

Ice cream

Whipped cream

 

Topping:

1 cup rolled oats

1 cup all purpose flour

1 cup packed brown sugar

1 cup chopped walnuts

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

Pinch of kosher salt

8 tablespoons (1 stick or 1/4lb or 4oz) salted butter, melted

 

 

Instructions:

  1. Core 10 apples, slice thinly
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix:
  3. 1 cup rolled oats
  4. 1 cup all purpose flour
  5. 1 cup packed brown sugar
  6. 1 cup chopped walnuts (sub pecans)
  7. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  8. 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  9. Pinch of kosher salt
  10. 8 tablespoons (1 stick) salted butter, melted
  11. Fill 6 ceramic cups with apple slices
  12. Cover apples with crumble topping
  13. Preheat oven to 375*F
  14. Place ceramic cups on baking sheet
  15. Bake in oven for 45mins
  16. Let stand 10-15mins
  17. Serve with ice cream and/or whipped cream
  18. Enjoy!
